Re: February 2024 errors with NOAA and rainfall generation
If you zip up and post your MXdiags log files then somebody can take a look at what's occurring.

Re: Websocket Pending Problem
It sounds very much like a local network issue. Communication across the network between your web browser and your CumulusMX installation is needed for the websocket connection to work. Similarly, the issue with connecting to Github to check for new versions requires use of your local network to con...

Re: realtime.txt fails in raspberry Pi image
Urgh - symlinks You'll have to explain the purpose of those. Unless they are in the cmx image - in that case it'll be over to Dazza.

Re: realtime.txt fails in raspberry Pi image
Those permissions mean that anybody can create and delete files in that directory, which would not result in the error that you are seeing. The permissions are actually too generous, which is not always a good thing. Therefore the permission issue must be related to the files within that directory. ...

Re: Weatherlink 6152 to CumulusMX
Typical mean sea level pressure extremes in inches of mercury are 28 to 31. 870 to 1090 are not values you would see on this planet. Even expressed in hPa (or millibars) it is far too wide a range.

Re: ftp realtime.txt - realtimegauges.txt
If you're getting a 500 response code then that implies an FTP connection has been made. Could this be another one not supporting particular FTP commands? Like Mark says, really need to see the FTP log.

Re: Instructions: Installing CumulusMX on Raspberry Pi
Great. Don't forget to change the service config too, so that MX gets run as the cmx user - otherwise you'll experience similar issues in the future.
Edit (as root) /etc/systemd/system/cumulusmx.service so that the user and group items are changed from root to cmx.

Re: CMX is crashing on it own!!
There's nothing in there to indicate a crash. There's an error with sending mail from /home/cmx/script/cmx-check.sh, but nothing involving mono or the CumulusMX application. Do you see anything else in your MXdiags files? There is a sequence of log messages when you restart, but there was nothing li...

Re: CMX is crashing on it own!!
I took a look at the MXdiags you uploaded on 26/01/2024. There is no crash in that file. There are some stack traces relating to a (very) temporary problem with an HTTP connection being used by PHP uploads. Looking at your realtime cadence, it appears to be a 1 second interval. To have a single HTTP...

If you log in as cmx user then type
and supply your cmx user password, you become the root user.
Alternatively, prefix all your commands with sudo and they will be run as if the root user was running them. For example:
Code: Select all

Re: Missing Moonrise time stamp
Next moonrise isn't until after midnight, i.e. there is no moonrise today - last rise was just before midnight last night, next one is just after midnight tonight. It sometimes happens with moonrise/set.
