Re: Additional data upload

You could generate something similar to that using the web tags and the additional files upload, but Cumulus is limited to uploading to only one ftp site. Perhaps the other site could read the file from your site? You could use the APRS facility, but that would require the other site to accept data ...

Re: The "forecast" setting on the main page

There will certainly be testing to do at some point, because I only have a VP2 and a mostly broken WMR928, so I can't test anything else myself.

Re: The "forecast" setting on the main page

Those stations do seem to be remarkably good value for money, though. But I don't know how accurate they are. I'm hoping that I will be able to get Cumulus 2 to talk directly to them, I have a reasonable idea of the protocol now.

Re: The "forecast" setting on the main page

David, It's there for other types of station which provide a basic forecast based on pressure and wind trends. Easyweather doesn't have this, so nothing ever gets put in there. I'll change it so that the label gets removed when Easyweather is selected. I should really do something about the web page...

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Don't think I'm ignoring them if I don't reply - I'm taking note.

Re: Suggestion For Cumulus Web Intergration (Records Tab)

OK, I take back the bit about editing recordT.htm, that was a silly suggestion given the way I've implemented it :) I'll change it in Cumulus.

Re: Suggestion For Cumulus Web Intergration (Records Tab)

Yes, you're right, the time doesn't really make sense for highest min, lowest max, and highest daily rainfall. I'll remove them from the next release. In the meantime, you could edit your copy of recordT.htm to take them out.

Re: Cloud Base Measurement - Cumulus Web Integration

I've put the changes in to show it in metres if altitude in metres has been selected - it seemed logical rather than introduce a new setting. Just about to test for a while before releasing...

Re: Cloud Base Measurement - Cumulus Web Integration

Glen,

It's just a bit of hokum, really, based on the difference between the temperature and the dew point; I'm almost embarrassed at having it in there. I think I'd be more inclined to take it out than provide a facility to display it in metres :)

I'll consider changing it...

Re: Support coming in Cumulus 1.7.12

Daniel, I think the problem is that Cumulus does not support your regional settings, where a comma is used for a decimal point. This was an oversight of mine from the very beginning - I had forgotten that some countries express decimals that way. It's too difficult to change it now. The only possibi...

Re: Rain Not Correct (EasyWeather/Cumulus)

So - because the .dat file shows 43mm, Cumulus is also showing 43mm? Which field in the .dat file has 43 in it?

Re: Rain Not Correct (EasyWeather/Cumulus)

That's OK, Glen, I can still believe that there are some errors in Cumulus with the rainfall calculations because of the way it works it out - it only uses the 'total rain so far' figure and then has to work out how much of that fell today by storing the value at start of day. It's somewhat error-pr...

Re: Rain Not Correct (EasyWeather/Cumulus)

I've tried to reproduce this using the easyweather.dat file that I have, editing it to simulate rain falling, and it works fine for me. Could you send me your easyweather.dat file so I can see what it looks like? Maybe the rainfall bits of the file don't work in practise in quite the way I think the...

I should have a profiling version ready soon, which might help to throw some light on the problem.
