Re: CumulusMX not coming up on RP3 on localhost

One more piece of information..
I found that if I delete the temporary internet files CumulusMX works once or twice then it goes back to creating the downloads(#).html files and going to the worng page.

Re: CumulusMX web page not coming up on my RP3

This is weird. I tried opening the IP address for the wireless adapter, http://192.168.52:8998 for my RP3, in Epiphany and it comes up with the CumulusMX web interfcace. Both the Ethernet IP and localhost redirect to the other page I linked above. At least I know how to get to CumulusMX now. The Eth...

Re: CumulusMX web page not coming up on my RP3

I am typing either http://localhost:8998 or http://192.168.1.53:8998. Both redirect like that. The "downloads(#)" are html documents in /home/pi and not folders. It seems to add them when I try to open the CumulusMX browser window.

Re: CumulusMX web page not coming up on my RP3

Here is a screen shot of the page that comes up on localhost:8998 -
I notice it redirects to /home/pi/downloads(#) There are multiple downloads folders in /home/pi/ Those were the ones I deleted because I didn't think I need them.

Re: CumulusMX web page not coming up on my RP3

I am using Epiphany. It worked when I first installed CumulusMX. I will take a screen shot of what I am getting and post it later.

CumulusMX interface not loading on RP3 using localhost:8998

CumulusMX is running and updating everything on the web page and WU normally but I can't seem to bring up the the CumulusMX web interface on my Raspberry Pi using either localhost or the IP address. I can bring it up on another computer using the IP address:8998. When I open CumulusMX on the browser...

Re: CumulusMX stopped reporting to WU after power outage

I had to change the battery in a UPS today so I took my router down. I shut down the RP3 first and then started it before powering the router. The "wait on network to boot" setting worked and the boot was delayed until the router was powered up. CumulusMX started normally. It updated the W...

Re: CumulusMX stopped reporting to WU after power outage

I also found that my Windows network drive had not mounted properly. I ran raspi-config and I think I had not checked "wait on network for boot". I believe this ,ight have bee the issue. Normally the network is already running on a Raspberry reboot but after a power failure the Raspberry w...

Re: CumulusMX stopped reporting to WU after power outage

OK, thanks for looking. At least I can fix it with a manual restart.

Re: CumulusMX stopped reporting to WU after power outage

The diags files may still be useful even without debug logging, if you'd like to attach them. My guess would be that as MX was apparently started when there was no network connection, this caused a problem with the WU and PWS threads, causing them to hang or crash. I suspect you are correct. The RP...

Unfortunately no, I turned it on for the next time I get a power problem. I could always just pull the plug on the RP3 of course.

CumulusMX stopped reporting to WU after power outage

I had an extended power failure last night. After the power came back on my RP 3 and CumulusMX restarted OK. I noticed the web site was updating so I knew it was connected to the Internet and FTP was working. This morning I noticed that both WU and PWS were showing my station off line since the powe...

Re: Using Vantage Vue with Cumulus on Raspberry pi 2

steve wrote:You probably didn't need to install those drivers, Raspian has suitable drivers already, so normally it all works automatically.
I didn't have to load any drivers for my Davis VP2 on a Raspberry Pi 3. I just plugged it in and the native drivers worked.

Great to hear you got it working. If you haven't installed jank's start stop script I would recommend it.

Re: Using Vantage Vue with Cumulus on Raspberry pi 2

Did you set your Raspberry Pi locale to the US? The default is the UK. You can do that in raspi-config. You might have to reinstall CumulusMX if you change it. Once I got to the point you have with my VP2 and RP 3 I got good data. It takes about 3 minutes for CumulusMX to download the data in the lo...
