You shouldn't have to. It comes free with all of their hosting packages.

https has got nothing to do with banks?!

And so they should, it's free but has to be updated every 3 months. They didn't do that for me though, they were charging me £30 a year until I did some digging.

Re: **NEW** Cumulus Weather Topsites 2013 - Please Join.

This topsites is extremely slow to load, that's why I removed it from my site. Even clicking people's sites that have the counter are slow to fully load, as the browser is waiting on the button. When I look at the network info in my browser when I go to Ray's site, for example, it says the button to...

Re: AirLink stopped reporting

Just got another email to say my AirLink has stopped reporting data.

Although I am still logging data absolutely fine, there's an underlying issue with the AirLink. The graphs look odd..

Wi-Fi on the AirLink is pure crap, but I think the actual sensor is dying. Davis products overall are just crap.

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

I meant in the Cumulus MX settings. The text file/webtags are being updated too frequently.

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

10 seconds is fast when playing it back on a time-lapsed video.

I'm guessing in the extra web files, you have 'Realtime' checked?

I don't use it for the text, as it updates too fast and you can't read it well on the time-lapsed video. Instead, the text file is updated every 5 minutes.

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

Hi 92merc.

I hadn't given that any thought before, but it doesn't cause any issues for me.
How often is your text file being updated?

Re: Degrees symbol encoding

Using IPTimelapse to put an overlay on a webcam image.

I've tried all codes, both ANSI and UTF8, as well as the literal symbol.

It works when the text file is ANSI, but CMX changes the text file back to UTF8 when it processes it.

Degrees symbol encoding

I think I've mentioned this before? Anyway, I'm using CMX to process a small text file to overlay on an image. The degrees symbol is not being encoded properly and causes strange characters to appear. However, if I open the processed text file and then manually save it as ANSI, the degrees symbol is...

Re: Forecast: Fairly fine, showery late - anyway to remove this?

To be honest, if it was available to use, I wouldn't put it on my own site. It's incredibly bad for my location!

For example, every time we have clear skies, it'll say it's overcast. When it IS overcast, it'll say clear. I don't think I have ever seen it correct for those two weather types.

Re: Forecast: Fairly fine, showery late - anyway to remove this?

The new Davis console gets it's forecast from a weather provider. There's no way (currently) to extract that from the API.

The Davis forecast option in Cumulus is for the original VP2 and the Vue console.

Re: b4017 Update and WU

It might still be a problem with wunderground.. the dashboard tells me that I haven't had a station online or uploaded any data for more than 30 days, and yet the data is there. V3.
