Re: Installing CMX v4
What does
give you? It's almost as if dotnet isn't on root's path - but that would be very odd!
Code: Select all
sudo dotnet --info

Re: Need help adjusting crazy yearly rainfall totals
So does the sum of rainfall since the start of May 2023 add up to 37.4 inches?
I've not heard of a rainfall season starting in May before - it defaults to January so it must be something you have set.
Where are you located?

Re: Beta Build 4019
4018 is working fine but 4019 is not. Running on Windows 11 build 26100.1. At start the Terminal remains on for about 1 sec and then disappears. Have tried 2 fresh install. Must have missed something but I cannot find out what it might be :| Anything being logged in the files under the MXdiags dire...

Re: B4018 fails to show upgrade available if uploading is off
The upgrade check happens when Cumulus is started, and thereafter once a day at a random time (the same random time each day for the same run of Cumulus).

Re: Use 10am Rollover in Summer sets rollover to 10am in Winter and 9am in Summer
The console won't be involved as CumulusMX takes the time of the readings from the computer it is running on.
Sounds to me like you should be looking at the computer. Is the locale set correctly? Is the current time on the computer correct?

Re: Installing .net on RPi
If you're not changing the name of the service or the port or the group then you were correct in that you can just use
Code: Select all
sudo dotnet CumulusMX.dll -install -user Pi2

Re: Installing .net on RPi
What I don’t know is where i get/ or put the -service name flag, nor the group flag. Didn’t see any mention of that! Mark covered that last night in his reply to this topic: CumulusMX v4 can generate a correctly formatted service file for you, for example... dotnet CumulusMX.dll -install -port 8999...

Re: Installing .net on RPi
The service section of my unit file looks like this: [Service] User=root Group=root WorkingDirectory=/opt/CumulusMX ExecStart="/usr/lib/dotnet/dotnet" CumulusMX.dll -service Type=simple So it looks like your WorkingDirectory config is wrong. Should be /home/pi/CumulusMX-RPI - you have appe...

You should see the reason why it failed.
