Re: Ecowitt Advice

Dave,

What ECOWITT station type have you got set in the Station settings in CumuluMX? (Settings/Station/General)

I think you should have (HTTP) ECOWITT set but I suspect you may have ECOWITT API set instead?

Re: CUtils 6.18.3

Sorry Hans,

I realised that the URL must be wrong - but it has taken me two hours to get the correct API from thir website due to it not recognising my account - but not letting me create one that seems to work! Once I had sorted that out it works as expected!

Re: CUtils 6.18.3

I'm having the same issue with YourWeather.co.uk as Andy. I have included the 7 day forecast : [Forecasts] ForecastSystem=YourWeather SevenDayPredictionURL=https://www.yourweather.co.uk/weather_Northwich-Europe-United+Kingdom-Cheshire--1-34431.html Flushed the cache - rerun website generatot but it ...

Re: Solar Input string was not in a correct format

Oh!

I missed that in the notes - I don't use PHP upload as my webserver is on same RPi as my CMX stations.

Re: Solar Input string was not in a correct format

The MoonImageLocation tag was blank - infact since the update to 6.18.2 all three stations have had this tag reset !?

I will keep an eye on it!

Good suggestion to use the Ecowitt Gateway sw to do the 'calibration'

Solar Input string was not in a correct format

Hans, I'm getting this error during the website generation. cumulusutils is complaining about the format of field 18 (SolarRad) in May23log.txt. What appears to be happening is that I recently entered a calibration setting for the solar sensor in the Ecowitt WS68 by introducing a multiplier of 0.8. ...

Re: How many instances of CMX can one Pi run?

FWIW I have a PI4 (8GB) running three instances of CMX (plus web servers for each system and another two servers for local groups).

The Pi 4 is averaging well below 10% CPU. It boots from a 128Gb SSD and everything is enclosed in an ARGON case (which has a s/w controlled fan in it).

Re: number of processes?

Just to add another set of stats! I run three instances of CumulusMX on a Pi 4 (32 bit OS). It's been running for several days ( it auto restarts the three CMX instances on Monday 1 a.m.) and I have the following: Main weather station (Ecowitt WH65 with additional temp (2 off) plus WH57 Lightning de...

Re: Clock and weather display

I have not tried it on 64 bit OS and I suspect that the pygame module hasn't been ported to 64 bit - or there are issues with the porting. I wrote (or modified an existing clock application - mentioned in my Github blurb) to make use of a small RPi and pi 7 inch LCD screen, using the available 32bit...

Re: Extra Sensors error on connection

Another thought - have you checked that your Ecowitt device has mapped the extra sensors correctly? From the Ecowitt phone app (Sensor ID) you should check that they are displayed and also showing their ID. If they are connected properly they should show an indication of their battery status and sig...

Re: Extra Sensors error on connection

Your ecowitt setup is missing the path?

Mine has /station/ecowitt in that field.

Re: Clock and weather display

I'm not sure if the pygame folk have changed it to handle 64 bit RPi hardware/sw. I haven't tried it at 64 bits myself - don't have a spare Pi4 hanging around!
