Re: Adding MySQL fields

NOTE: When release 3.20.0 becomes available, there is some extra "MySQLConnect" functionality regarding changes to columns. The MySQL settings page has some substantial changes in that release which will no doubt make more of the Wiki out of date. I do not believe that will affect anything...

Re: Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

I did do a simple web search but obviously did not find the answer Using the most popular search engine probably benefits the provider more than the searcher. I used a less well known search engine and quickly got an answer to "calculate average wind direction". I hope your decorating goe...

Re: Rolling Weekly Data - Displaying data on website

Point one - you don't average wind direction without compensating for wind speed at that direction, i.e. the input directions are weighted by the associated wind run at each direction. You obviously did not try a simple web search, as in first hit reported I saw an answer at https://www.scadacore.co...

Re: phpMyAdmin question

Create View is the standard way in SQL to define just once the ability to see just selected columns from a table, I'm sure some Forum users have experience of using views. phpMyAdmin supports defining default settings for export, so only need to define once. Settings not only support export output a...

Re: Year range for viewing data, ended in 2020

As Paul suggests, when you run the 1099 installer you see a "components screen", remove the tick next to " HTML templates " to keep your existing templates with their German. After upgrade, in the Configuration menu, Internet option, Sites/Option tab, look for Web Settings frame ...

Re: Solar Rad & UV Index Gauges missing

Select in Internet settings. Although the Wiki section page in Wiki has not been updated to keep up with fast changing MX, it does give information on solar and UV settings.
I don't have solar sensors so don't know how many settings you should adjust.

Re: Year range for viewing data, ended in 2020

Your data is kept when upgrading Cumulus. Your existing settings are generally not overwritten, but in the 10 releases between 1089 and 1099 there were some new features, listed in the changes txt file of 1099 package. One change relates to providing in settings a choice for encoding, that is what g...

Re: Year range for viewing data, ended in 2020

if i look at the file size of these htm files on my webspace, it is 0kb. This has nothing to do with "ended in 2020", so you should have started a new topic, rather than reuse a subject that has nothing to do with your issue. Steve Loft addressed your problem in his Cumulus 1 FAQ , (which...

Re: Installing and running without a web server

Building the local web server per Stuart's suggestion or something like that. HansR could mention you don't need PHP, nor a database server, for CUtils web pages, so actually all you need is a "web server" (and a file transfer server), not a full package, and you might find https://apreli...

As an alternative/addition to reading that 13 page support forum thread, you could try dipping into parts of the Cumulus Wiki documentation, (which was generated based on Buster, long before Bulleye available).

Use the MX utility that is designed exactly for that purpose.

Re: Station update not working

I have not seen any notable adverse effects with it I believe that everyone will find many posts in favour of Fine Offset synchronization for Cumulus 1 users. Equally, predominately for MX user posts, suggest better to disable synchronisation as per Mark's bug advice for both with and without solar.

Last time I looked it was mislabelled as set the Davis interval so that might be why you didn't find it!
