Re: webcam refresh webpage

First of all REMOVE
// at the bottom of your page, you shouldn't have TWO
statements. Replace the code you have at the bottom of your page BEFORE the closing
tag with this ... // var re...

Re: webcam refresh webpage

No need really. If the JS 'fails' for any reason, then the body background-image will be the one defined in weatherstyles.css . If the JS is working, then assuming your webcam pic always has the same name ... document.body.style.background ="url('image + '?' + new Date()') will change the backg...

Re: Yet Another Dayfile Reader (PHP)

... it doesn't say 'error reading dayfile' or something like that anymore.
That suggests you had a problem earlier !

It obviously can't "see" your data for whatever reason. Double check your paths from where the file is located.

Re: webcam refresh webpage

You want change the backgound of the body of the page ! So this is a css / JavaScript combination ... Try something like: // var refreshrate = 30; // seconds between refresh var image = "http://yourwebsite.co.uk/webcampicture.jpg"; // ima...

Re: Home Page working

1. Reload my Home page automatically every say 30 seconds (but be able to vary this in the light of experience); Your data is being checked every three seconds or so. Why do you want to (meta) refresh the entire page every thirty seconds ? 2. Have that reload time reflected in the heading (eg Sunda...

Re: CumulusMX vs. Cumulus ajax template problem

First of all I can't see anything in either page that 'fires up' the ajax (javascript) ? However; the information is initially populated by the ...ajax.php files. It appears that the different php files are also looking up two different cumulus webtag files. One of which IS being updated, the other ...

Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti

As I said JQuery isn't 'my thing' I'm afraid .... ... and I haven't downloaded or run the files to 'dissect' them properly. So you're on your own I'm afraid. The display idea failed to the point of a black background and small slide window.... Was the 'slide' the size and position you asked for ? If...

Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti

JQuery isn't 'my thing' I'm afraid .... but you could try: jQuery(function($){ var slideshow=fullpageslideshow var layers=$('
').clone().andSelf().appendTo(document.body) // var thumbs=$...

Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti

You are an awkward cuss  Sorting is NOT being done by the php part of the script but the js code (I don't know why ?) So put that back the way it was (Presumeably a js recognizable format) The options to sort by filename or date are at the bottom of the js script. Additional customizations Insi...

Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti

You didn't give a link to the test page ....

It shouldn't make a difference but ..

fpslideshowvar.php begins

Code: Select all

Re: Automatic slide show from directory (PHP)- Better soluti

There are obviously lots of code snippets out there, which if the don't do what you want someone of your experince should be able to mash. ;) I assume your biggest gripes are your image load times (which of course will be determined by their size, and the actual transition effect) Here's one I found...
