Re: Upload Problem

Steve, Thank you for the effort. I think the problem is gone. I also thought I had replaced the cumulus exe file the last time around. In some fairness to me, I keep all my computers on XP and the remote computer is a 64 bit Vista machine which I'm trying to maintain via TeamViewer. I expect that to...

Re: Upload Problem

Steve,
Thank you for your effort. I installed (copied over) the revised Cumulus.exe file you provided but it did not solve the problem. Any other ideas? ;)

Re: Upload Problem

Steve, Thanks for looking into this, I'll try your zip in a while. I got WU to allow me to reset the password and everything is good there. This time of the year mama is Christmasing and while she doesn't understand the correct priorities, I DO, and keeping mama happy is #1. George PS FWIW in case I...

Re: Upload Problem

Steve
I hope this works. Couldn't find zipper.
Thanks for the help.
Oh, FWIW, VPLive was able to upload to CWOP so I must have something set wrong.

Upload Problem

Sunday, December 18, 2011, I set up a Davis VP1 at a remote (150 miles) location. I installed Cumulus 1.9.2 build 1024 to upload data to a personal website, CWOP, and Wunderground. The personal website seems to be correct http://smlweather.com/Bluefield/index.htm . CWOP is 95% correct but the barome...

Re: Cumulus Spazzing out

Rant on. I probably should leave this alone but I can't. After reading this thread, and not knowing the slang meaning of "Spazzing out", I Googled "Spazzing out" and found absolutely nothing offensive in the entire first page of definitions. I might suggest that much as "Bea...

Re: Webcam links

Hello All, Thought I would add my webcam to the list. http://smlweather.com/PTZCamera4.htm After three minutes you will be "returned" to my home page which is a modified VWS Standard. Most modifications are in the upper left hand column. In as much as the camera is mounted on a SSE facing ...

Re: Concentrate on Cumulus 1 or 2?

Steve, I always thought the concept was to replace Cumulus 1 with Cumulus 2 which was to be more adaptable. I have personally been quite disappointed in the recent direction of so much speciality addition to Cumulus 1. I personally am running Cumulus 1.8.6 quite smoothly and have not even downloaded...

Re: Radiation Shield accuracy

Ray, You might consider driving a chain link fence post a couple of feet into the ground. this would make a semi-temporary mounting location for your VP2. I find digging a big enough hole to mount a 4 X 4 is awfully close to permanent. If you do decide to go that route, they make a plastic slipcover...

Re: Radiation Shield accuracy

Ray, A hobby isn't any good unless you can throw money at it so maybe you should get the fan. Actually, you will never know if it actually helps unless you buy a complete 6153 and mount it side by side and compare the readings. Whatever you decide to do it looks as if your grounds are in good enough...

Re: Radiation Shield accuracy

Hey Ray,
I just took a look at five or six of your Wunderground history pages and I don't think your wind was ever calm. Why pay for an artificial wind when nature does it for you?

Cumulus 2 - The Emotional Issue

Steve, I would like to suggest that you consider the selling price and method of sale of Cumulus 2 before releasing the first alpha/beta. People tend to value things by their cost. Freeware isn't worth anything. Donation ware isn't worth much more to most people. I know what Virtual Weather Station ...
