Re: v1.9.3 b 1044 (Aug 15 2012) web tags

If you are not skilled with spreadsheets and want to redo this exercise for a later build, I've zipped up my spreadsheet WebTags.zip . I have added in the first row some instructions, column A is the one obtained from WebTags.txt, column B is the one that is copied into the template in the previous ...

Re: v1.9.3 b 1044 (Aug 15 2012) web tags

My cumulus.ini has the ListWebTags=1 line in the [Station] section. As my initial posting indicated, the list of web tags is produced by Cumulus itself automatically if you amend 'Cumulus.ini'. Sorting that list alphabetically is simple in a spreadsheet, and the formula to convert it into a HTML ta...

v1.9.3 b 1044 (Aug 15 2012) web tags

I've implemented the new build this morning. My cumulus.ini has the ListWebTags=1 line in the [Station] section. Using Libre Office (the free software by the people who used to code Open Office before OpenOffice.org was donated to the Apache Software Foundation (ASF) on June 1, 2011), the text list ...

Re: Stevenson Screen Kit?

Has anyone run across a wooden stevenson screen kit? It is a bit pricey but this firm does a wooden one in Norfolk, UK as brought by a relative of mine: http://www.russell-scientific.co.uk/product/1292_Stevenson%27s_screen_-_small_1292 Comes in a 'flat pack' unpainted wood. I'd recommend painting b...

Re: Nouvelles icones de prévision / New forecast icons

#IsSunUp might be more appropriate (sunset/sunrise rather than dawn/dusk).

Re: Month boundary

ok and thanks - maybe future standard Cumulus templates for today and this month will use it to enhance their headings. Midnight seems most popular rollover, and it would still work with that. There are also many sites that use 9am (or 10am in summer), and in some countries that is standard for repo...

Re: Month boundary

The question is then thrown open to everyone:
'Would other Cumulus users benefit from such a Meteorological Day tag (with format parameters available)?'

Month boundary

Build 1043 states that it fixes issue re assigning observations across month boundary. That makes me wonder if there should be web tags related to the current log files Today (showing date of last rollover for today) Month (showing current month until month updated) For midnight rollover, these matc...

Re: #RecentRainToday - new webtags

I installed the latest beta update, it rained, and I thought I will see that the fix worked. But, of course, the Fine Offset raingauge decided not to work, and every value was zero. After using readings from a gardener's funnel raingauge to update the relevant log file, I saw the value on the Cumulu...

#RecentRainToday - new webtags

Having just tested these, I see Cumulus replaces tag with the count as reported by the weather station, not a measurement in chosen rainfall units specific to within the day (as I expected): date=27/07/2012 <#RecentRainToday d=1> contains 313.8 <#RecentRainToday d=2> contains 313.8 <#RecentRainToday...
