a little bigger range of 39.4C 71.1F than I had in January

Since I started this thread just over a month ago my 2014 temperature range has increased... by 1C to 12.8C.

That is likely to be smashed this weekend when a high pressure moves over the UK and warm southerly winds push up the temps. Oddly it could also cause night frosts - something of a rarity this year. I'm almost getting a nosebleed with excitement!

How about this for a temperature change in about 40 hours?

Highest Temperature 27.8 °C 2:02 PM on 14 April
Lowest Temperature -8.3 °C 6:25 AM on 16 April

Precipitation on April 15 started with rain, changed briefly to freezing rain, followed by snow grains and then snow.

Only on a large land mass could that happen! This station max range for 2014 is now 20C (19.2C / -0.8C). You exceeded that by 16C in 40 hours! Wow!

You might have your shorts back on by the weekend!
