Folks in the Midwest were much colder than the Northeast. Maybe you'll get a new record from someone located there.

Indeed Kerry. Those affected by the polar vortex. No reports yet.

Studebaker, you are the new leader with 40.2C :o

Phil, it's the highest / lowest for 2014, not the daily range.

tumutbound, quite difficult to work out from lat/lon where precisely you are. Town & Country would be helpful.
Cheers,

Steve,

I was tempted to mention your station when I started this thread because I can't see anyone beating your low range. That must be your all-time low range too I guess.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately.”

Wow! Although my "average" range is only 6.0C for Feb, 6.3C for January. I did have a range of 13.3C one day in Jan which bucked the trend and a maximum range of 10.6C in Feb.

Thanks to BetelJuice's script it makes looking at these figures a doddle! :)

Since I started this thread a few weeks ago you might have thought the temp range would have increased by now. But it hasn't! February's range is even smaller - Min of 0.9C on the 10th and a max of 11.3C yesterday give a range of just 10.4C.

It's not like we're having any particularly warm days - we're not. It's the complete lack of cold nights that keeping the range so small. The lowest max was 6.3C and the highest min was 6.8C. And there's still no sign of any change in the wind direction which has been from the south for almost the whole winter.
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.
