Weather Underground false email notices

Looks as if several other people are experiencing the same symptom as me which is receiving emails from Weather Underground saying that the station (and other unrelated stations) is offline and/or back online when that isn't the case.

I've been getting these erroneous emails as well including ones for stations I have nothing to do with since yesterday 10/09/2014.

I logged onto WU and it appears that many people are seeing the same thing and they say that they are looking into the problem.

I just received this notification from WU in response to false emails!

Thanks for reporting this to us. This was due to an email server malfunction and was not a security breach or a hacking attempt. Your PWS data has not been affected.
The erroneous emails should have stopped now.
