Any views on the ClimeMET CM2000?

Post by mikechristelow »

My anemometer failed and is irreplaceable so after just over 5 years with a Technoline WS2350 (a re-branded LaCrosse, really) I need to find a replacement system. It'll give me an opportunity to consider relocating the sensors to "better" places including possibly not mounting the anemometer on the chimney as my head for heights is much reduced these days

Does anyone have any first-hand feedback on the ClimeMET CM2000?

Thanks in advance,
Mike

"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately.”

I have not had any experience, but this looks like a rebranded Fine Offset at a very premium price.

HI,

Yes definitely a Fine Offset (WH-1090) with all the usual issues/risks of those stations, including the low-contrast touchscreen. Perhaps acceptable at a sub £100 pricepoint (sometimes available near to £50 from Maplin, Clas Ohlson, ebay, etc.).

Cheers, Alan.
