I saw in another thread about dating ads etc.
You can choose which ads you get from Google to a certain degree.
To change your preferences, do the following
In the ad there will be a tiny button (show in attached pic) . Click this, which will take you to the Google adsense preferences.
From here, there is a link for "Ads Preference Manager", clcik this.
On that page, you can specify types of ads and edit your demographics - age , sex etc.
By messing with these, you can get google not to show you certain types of ads
Hope this helps as I found it quite annoying that whenever the wife would look at my screen it was plastered in dating ads causing undue friction.

Ditto, albeit with AdBlock, if you have Chrome you can also make your google ad preferences permanent with a plugin, don't know if it is available for other browsers.steve wrote:I use Adblock Plus and never (OK - very rarely) see any adverts.
