I have the same console WS 2080 and got the same problem a month ago.
Put the question to Ambient Weather an the answer was, sorry but the only one solution is to change the console, so I order a new one. I am receiving the new one in few days. I look for solutions also in other forums and didn´t find answers.

hi,

my console malfunctioned and ed from ambien weather said he could not help me. so aftre some searching i acquired a similar console from china and it works well and comunicates seamlessly witrh the old outdoor unit.

you can order the console from misolie in china here: http://www.misolie.net/index.php?main_p ... cts_id=499

it cost me some €48 incl shipping and it took some three weeks to get here

hopes this helps others

Hi,

Be careful to check the specification of exactly what you order. The stations may use 434, 868 or 915 MHz radio frequency. The link appears to be for a full station (at 434 MHz), but note that although it says "Solar Sensors", it is only Solar-Powered (and not very effectively IMHO). :(

There are other sources of "spares" for these Fine Offset (manufacturer) stations, although sadly we are just losing Maplin here in UK.

These look identical to the 'Maplin' Fine Offset station:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/WIRELESS-WEATH ... rds=wh1080
or
https://www.amazon.de/Forever-Speed-Wet ... rds=wh1080
or
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B005ER ... _qh_dp_hza

And there are others also. Just search for "WH1080"

Hi,

Yes, the 1080/81 stations are still available, for example also here and from Clas Ohlson, etc.. Perhaps slightly different to Maplin's because of 868 MHz radio frequency (cf 434 MHz) and a Radio Controlled Clock, etc.

But the great advantage of Maplin was that they sold each of the outdoor sensors as spare parts for £15 at most, Replacement anemometers were only £2.50 ("click and collect") and even less during their closing-down sale.

Cheers, Alan.
