Cannot find my DATA FILES???

Post by DaveI »

I've had Cumulus running for quite a few years. I haven't updated my data files in a long time.
The computer that Cumulus runs on was updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10 about 2 years ago...

I am trying to change something on index.htm

The only instance of index.htm that I can find on the PC running Cumulus
is located in C:\Cumulus\Web but when I update this file and then start up Cumulus
the file gets overwritten again with the version that is unchanged. So evidently that is not
the data file being used but I cannot for the life of me find the data files.
I unhid the hidden files and folders and tried \users\my user name\AppData\local\virtualstore
but it is not there (Only NVidia folder there)...
Where the heck are my Data files....I tried searching but came up empty...
Cumulus works fine as it has been for years but I guess during the migration from Windows 7 to Windows 10
two years ago the data was moved and now I can't find them to make changes???
I am running Cumulus 1.9.4

I am really stumped...I searched everywhere but cannot find the data files...
When I go into Cumulus/InternetSettings under Local Filenames there are NO/NO
files selected and nothing selected for Remote Filenames either...
Yet Cumulus is working fine as it has been for years...I have SHOW HIDDEN FILES selected in Win10 but cannot find them!!!

Base files are called template files and have a capital T in their name (i.e. index.htm is actually indexT.htm). This is so Cumulus can process them and upload the file minus the T and all your amendments are kept safe in the T (template) file.

Search for indexT.htm and you should find them.

water01,

Haha...I was just coming to delete my post...I found the readme about the data files finally and
realized my mistake...Been so long since I changed anything I completely forgot how they worked
and that it was the indexT.htm I should be editing...

Thanks for answering...
