i have done the mod with the ferriet antenna.(did have a good reception though)
at first i only wanted to drill some extra holes in the outside housing.(also on the top for better airflow).
for my RH didn,t got above 89%
i didn't wanted to drill in the pcb, which is very likely so i decided to open the unit.
this was also an opportunity to do the antenna mod.
mine was shuffed underneith the pcb in a weird angle, which could have influenced the humidity sensor,or even caused a shortcut, which is very possible when its damp.
now it gets to 98%,and cumulus is set to read 98 as 100%.
very simple double mod, only takes about 15 minutes and gave big improvement.
i do have to mention that over the original stevenson screen i placed a homebuild one with a ventilator in it.
that also made an improvement.

I've just made the mod with the antena. Now I'm testing... :)

after I've made this mod - I can NOT see any differences with humidity values... :(

At the moment the observations seem to be reliable, but the problem occurred predominantly with high values of humidity, currently low.

No way for high values of humidity  ; next step: additional potentiometer.
Bye.

Is that a linear or a logarithmic potentiometer?
What is the approximate position of the wiper?

Is a linear potentiometer, (with a 5.8 MOhm resistor the correction was too strong, so I've tried a greater resistance across the sensor pins).
With the ohmmeter, the resistance of the potentiomenter is about 8MOhm, so,the total resistance is about 14MOhm.
Now I'm testing.

Have a nice sunday.

At the moment I haven't photos.
Care...my solder is too warm for that printed circuit, resulting in little damages (printed circuit damaged where the sensor is soldered). In the first stage I've soldered two thin wires over the printed circuit , the resistor with the potentiometer (flying) and the two wires from the pcb to the potentiometer and the resistor.

Enjoy :D
