Thanks to a mate of Mine who built a mains power supply with UPS battery back up I no longer have to get on the roof to change batteries in the Weather Station

Well done! Houses here are different. My carport in only two meters off the ground at one side, and I'm up there nearly every day taking photo's, so no problem for me. But HEAPS of Cumulus uses mention the difficulties of getting up and changing things. This is pretty brilliant.

That'll solve the well known problem where the solar/Lux/UV sensor stops working, locks up and starts to drain the batteries at an alarming rate.

Interesting... I also see you have 12V there - while already having a cable running to your WS, one could use a double cable and also provide it with that 12V in case you also would want a fan running 24-hours?
