Bought a new computer. was using XP and it worked perfect, now using windows 7 and it won't read the USB. Installed both Easyweather and columus as I did before. Now my computer says it does no recognize the instrument. Is there a fix for this? Everything else I plug into USB works fine.

Dodgy USB cable? Dodgy socket on the console? Both well known about faults, and both could have been brought on by the 'disturbance' - the station does not require anything extra to be recognised by Windows 7 as a device.

I use a ws5000eco (3081?) and Win7.

Both EasyweatherPlus, Cumulus 1.9 an WD software works fine.

But not the same time !
