it was removed on friday no longer uses anything wunderground based from forecast to accommodate those that do not have UV INDEX capability it now pulls forecast data from DarkSky hourly output. also a option for uk users that was tested for many months from two uk users it now can calculate the UV index based on your solar radiation it is realtime and 90% accurate but doesnt take into account of the cloud reflection phenomena where the radiation gets enhanced momentarily ..meteobridge users get the better benefit as it takes an average solar reading over a 5 minute period from the database.
i used it here for many months before i had UV index hardware..
sorry for the changes but if everyone used same hardware , same metrics I wouldn't MISS so many things, its become nigh impossible to catch every scenario when it comes to weather data.. but there we are we try but 99% of the time it goes wrong somewhere for someone so it is what it is these days ..
darksky is not as flexible as wunderground was when it worked but looking at alternative options there all similar or worse . darksky for istanbul is very poor but UK users should be ok theoretically .
sorry if i dont enthusiastic 10 days of roof construction ,power drills and hammering 9 hours a day has frazzled my brain sunday is just another day here...
