CMX and Cumulus1 time variables are different, so depending on which you use the following needs to be added. I don't have C1 anymore so not tested Cumulus1 (may need adjusting?).

Code: Select all

CMX
~<#presstrendenglish>~<#temptrendenglish>~<#wsforecast>~<#cloudbase>~<#sunset format="h' 'mm''tt">~<#sunrise format="h' 'mm''tt">~<#TwgustTM format="h' 'mm''tt">~<#time format="h' 'mm''tt">~<#moonrise format="h' 'mm''tt">~<#moonset format="h' 'mm''tt">
Cumulus1
~<#presstrendenglish>~<#temptrendenglish>~<#wsforecast>~<#cloudbase>~<#sunset format="h' 'nn''am/pm">~<#sunrise format="h' 'nn''am/pm">~<#TwgustTM format="h' 'nn''am/pm">~<#time format="h' 'nn''am/pm">~<#moonrise format="h' 'nn''am/pm">~<#moonset format="h' 'nn''am/pm">

Thanks ever so much Tony!

One thing that has just cropped up, is the Davis forecast..
Mostly cloudy and cooler. Precipitation likely. Windy with possible wind shift to the W, NW, or N.
Not sure how that can be solved, a replace function perhaps?

Hi Mapantz,
I suppose someone may be able to, though personally I will be omitting the forecast section altogether from mine as I already have a forecastaudio.php running my wxsim 9 day forecast and this one really is conditionsaudio.php (I just added the davis fcast as per the original html example).
You could always add the Sager 12/24hr fcast I have done so in current example http://hrvistaweather.com/rvc/conditionsaudio.php though I will remove that in a couple of days, once you've had a listen. Sorry no time for code examples flat out, but it's easy to setup, you should figure it out.
regards,
Tony

I forgot that i processed and uploaded the bt-sager forecast. Thank you.

I put:

Code: Select all

<?php include_once('bt-sager-wc.php'); ?>
In the file, then just added .$sf. in the output, worked like a charm.

Cheers Tony. :)

I have attached a zip of my North America meteo_audio script http://www.komokaweather.com/weather/meteo_audio.html.
This has a section on French text and English text. As I don't speak French I apologize in advance for any blatant errors. The webtags to feed the audio is for my Cumulus 1 and those using CumulusMX may need to change the <#time> format. Also, I use point decimal so the script is modified to accommodate so the English audio uses "point" and the French (European) audio uses "comma" (virgule).

I have also attached the meteo-audio-french-version used by Serge http://f1lxj.free.fr/weather/meteo_audio.htm.
This is the European theme using comma decimal.

The script is created by Serge and Marcel and I am just a-come-along but have spent a considerable amount of time in testing and learning to make it behave correctly (at least to my ears). Also thanks to Mark Crossley for providing code to change the Cumulus webtags output with point decimal so that the audio is "point" rather than assume the point is an end-of-sentence period.

Enjoy,
Paul

EDIT:
20161023 updated my meteo_audioT.zip
20161018 updated my meteo_audioT.zip
20161003 updated both zips

Hi Paul and everybody,
I'm back home after being far away from my computer for a long week.

I join my audio script. It possibly can help and can of course be adapted to everyone's needs.
Note my script is slightly different from the one of my friend Serge, because I allready translated the wind directions in Cumulus.ini
Serge does the translations in his audio script.

Thanks again to Serge, Paul and Mark for their valuable contributions.
Enjoy

Hi,
After spending some hours on combining both versions of the script and after getting wet (unfortunately my system is using comma decimal values and I'm not very skilled in HTML and PHP programming) finally I've got it running. :D : http://www.pogoda-niesiolowice.kaszuby. ... pogoda.php
Many thanks to all for the help I got from the posts in you have written this topic.
The most valuable is that again I've learned something new.

Hi Paul,
I hope you do not mind, but I would like to add/offer some conceptual points to this thread.
Back in June 2016 I posted a similar concept based on my Audio version of WxSim Forecast (see here) : http://www.weather-watch.com/smf/index. ... 089.0.html.

Through trial an error I found myself fighting with the concepts of how will my user utilize this feature, to the point that I ended up with the following.

1: I want to click and listen while walking away to make my coffee/etc, but also have the ability to return and "Start/Pause/Resume/Stop" if I desire.
2: I want to click and listen while viewing other pages on this site, but also have the ability to "Start/Pause/Resume/Stop" if I desire.
3: All the above allow variable selection of multiple voice (male/female) and Language selection.

So I decided to create links on my header page and Index page which results in a popup version in a minimized browser which the user can access by :
1: Initially the popup window will allow the user to select a Voice, Start the audio, Pause/Resume/Stop as desired. Then venture off to other pages.
2: If on another viewing page post initialization of the Audio, Minimizing the current active window, the Audio Popup window will be on the desktop ready to be used.
3: As per above, User could alternatively Use the Windows TaskBar to select the Audio Popup window.

With the current "Current Conditions Audio" concept I see that it flows as follows from a user experience;

1: I click on a menu link to view an Audio Page, from this I click a chosen predefined Language Button.
2: I Listen, but have no ability to "Pause/Resume/Stop" .
3: I want to change pages while listening, but when I do the Audio stops, or in some cases the Audio does not stop and I have no way of stopping it.

I do realize that my concept is not perfect and nor does it meet all the possible scenarios from user requirement, though I do feel offering the user more options is more appealing. Though at the end of the day, it boils down to horses for courses I suppose.

Well. You wanted it and you get it (voice weather report in Polish): http://www.pogoda-niesiolowice.kaszuby.pl/ and this is probably everything I could do.
Two remarks:
1. In order to force the script to speak "polish national characters" I had to save an initial script file in UTF-8 format. After being processed by Cumulus some "strange bushes" occurred in the places the polish national characters should be, but the pronunciation of the Polish words is very good. As far as I have noticed it has not influenced an English pronunciation but I can say nothing about French pronunciation (I have only listening without understanding ability with regards to French language).
2. There are problems with pronunciation of the "time". For example: the phrase of :"the strongest wind was at 9:10" should be pronounced in Polish "the strongest wind was at ninth ten" but the pronunciation is "the strongest wind was at "nine tenth". The same happens when you try to use Polish language on Tony's (HRVistaWeather) page. So, this is probably the "nature" of the "tool" used for pronunciation. Is there any possibility for configuration?
Regards,
Piotr
