Now offering free hosting for Cumulus users.

Post by daj »

As you may be aware I have been offering a web hosting service to the Cumulus community for a small fee for just over a year.

As part of the 'simple' hosting package I do the work of loading the web space with the Cumulus files and all you need do is provide the username and password to Cumulus and you will then have a web presence. It's that simple and you can be up and running in minutes.

I also offer a more complete hosting solution for advanced users.

I am delighted to announce that I am now offering the 'simple' hosting service FREE of charge. :D

Thanks Steve. It's all good fun and not time consuming to manage. Hopefully it will encourage people who are apprehensive about a web presence, or not sure if they want one, to try it

Hi David,

That's a very generous offer to Cumulus users. As someone who has been using your service since February I can vouch for the excellent service you and your servers provide.

I am more than happy to continue to pay you for the service you provide. ;)
Cheers,
Ray, Cheshire.

Hello UKChris,

Do you have a URL for your new website? I would love to take a peek, just sent an e-mail to David to do the same thing and I was wondering what the end result looked like.

This is a very good service for those of us not so savvie of all the differences between hosting services.

I took David up on his offer. In five minutes or maybe less, my web page was up and running. David sent me an email with exactly what to do and wham-bam-thank-you-mam, it was done.

Cumulus and David's hosting, it just doesn't get any better than this.

looks like your sorted, but anyway mine is in my signature, it's the cumulus standard website.

Chris, just as quick note.. you do not need the index.htm at the end of your web address. This is a default page so if you do not specify it in the link it will open anyway. Just makes your address look nicer/shorter ;)
