Hi,

from a HTML dunce!

I quite like the idea of a border each side of the index page, is it possible for me to replicate these gray side borders on this web page http://www.vantagevue.com/lit/index.asp and add to my Cumulus index page? or is the background unalterable in the CSS?

If it is possible, could someone look at the page source and extract the relevant code for me please?

Thanks!

Mike

You could do something like this. Edit weatherstyle.css:

In the 'body' style, change
Code:
background-color: #FFFFFF;

to
Code:
background-color: #BFBFBF;

and delete
Code:
background-image: url(images/picture.jpg);

In the #content style, add
Code:
background-color: #FFFFFF;

You'd then probably want to fiddle with the margin settings.

But someone else may have some better ideas.

That's great Steve!

I have the side margins pretty close at 17.5% and the top and bottom at .5%.

Last question for now, when I altered the margins the main centre body now is stretched, and the sentences start and end too close to the edge.
How do I edit this, in CSS or the web template files?

Thank you very much!

You could try adding
Code:
padding: 10px;

to the #content style, and see how that looks.

Works great on Firefox 3.6.16, but IE9 shows normal white background?

Any ideas anyone?

Thanks!
