Learn from my painful mistake!!

Post by hills »

Short story:

If you haven't done so already, download Daj's toolbox and set it up to ftp your template and style files to a backup directory on your website nightly... NOW!!! ;)

Long story:

My disk drive failed on my laptop that is dedicated to Cumulus and even though I use the toolbox to backup my data and I also backup my PC when ever I remember, my template and style files were quite out of date on the backup. So much so that it was easier to download the htm files from my website and convert them back into template files. This took quite a few hours of mind numbingly boring editing to achieve.

But a positive outcome, now I have updated to the latest version of Cumulus and toolbox and configured it to backup my template and style files nightly to my website, so if I have the same failure and haven't backed up my PC in a while I'll be able to just ftp them back to my new PC. :D
