Hi Jan,

An other completed language!! Thanks Jan!

As you already know, validation (multi-lingual) pages are available
at translation page; in top menu, all page names in yellow:
http://meteoduquebec.com/translation/index.php
- Now
- Today
- Yesterday
- Month
- Year
- Records
- Gauges (design only)

I'm now on gauges page; base design is done,
"mechanical" side is going to good way!

As these pages are translations in the "real world", it will be easier
to validate. Then for sure, I'll add a "modify mode" to correct mistakes.

For now any translator could do corrections by filling only words to correct,
in page containing mistakes; you don't need to fill all input box.

Finally, for "Weather engine" translation, your truck example is pretty good!
Your website is the body and Cumulus is the engine (motor).
As "sexy" is your truck (truck could be sexy??... as sport or luxury car??),
without a good engine... it's only a "rust food festival" in your driveway! ;)

Then thanks to have keep us in mind that long!

Best regards,
Jacques

Jacques (Off Topic On) you are talking about trucks :-)
I am not aware if you know, that nearly 50% of the cars in Europe are using Diesel fuel, not only trucks?
diesel is much cheaper than normal fuel and much more efficient .....and diesel Cars are not sounding lke trucks......
but anyway, also a diesel Car can be sexy :-). from the outside it looks like a normal car, but with a diesel engine inside.
(Off topic off) - it make sense, the engine is the software behind my weather station.....I understand.

Ok for the translation of web pages and files strings.ini.

But, the translation of words inside the program?

Eg: midnight ---> mezzanotte
         at 11:35 on August 18, 2012 ---> alle 11:35 del 18 agosto 2012

etc..

Thanks, Luigi

That's the purpose of strings.ini. If it isn't in strings.ini, it can't be changed in Cumulus itself. Cumulus was never intended to be multi-lingual, I've just hacked in a few strings that can be changed.

Hi Luigi,

For dates, you could use Cumulus "format" parameter, like this:

<#TpressH format="à h'h'nn, 'le' d mmmm yyyy">

and obtain this result, in French :
à 6h34, le 10 avril 2022

Also, if you are using a php template, I include a .zip file to replace yours.
I've tried to adress this problem by adding some webtags ending with "F"
$YearHumLF, $YearGustHF, $MonthTempLF, formatted wit these options:

$to = utf8_encode("to "); // Ex: to 20 may
$pre_time = utf8_encode("at "); // Ex: at 10:45
$pre_date = utf8_encode(" on "); // Ex: on 25 may
$only_date = utf8_encode("On "); // Ex: On 25 may
and as you see it support utf-8 for all foreign languages.

Hope this will help:

Best regards,
Jacques
