The beteljuice has been playing as usual.

Herewith an alternative Monthly Extremes page (Template) using the new <#webtag>s.

Requires Cumulus V1.9.3 or above READ this !!

This example won't update and is for illustrative purposes only:

Alternative Example

It doesn't look as good in IE8, sorry.

You can set the 'default' view.
You can give the visitor the option of views (or not).

Units Of Measure and month names are automatically set to Cumulus / PC configuration.

Although it's full of JavaScript, it is JS 'safe'. If a visitor has JS disabled then they see the 'normal' (list) style for EVERY month (the nav buttons should then scroll up / down to the required month).

V1.1 - wet / dry month was one out.
V1.2 - 'Table' style displayed incorrectly for degF
V1.2.1 - mouseover text colour 'fixed' to black (was inherited)
V1.3 - in 'lists' style a propagated cut 'n' paste error with Lowest Apparent Temp fixed
V1.4 - in 'lists' style a propagated cut 'n' paste error with Lowest Dew Point (time) fixed
V1.4.1 - minor mod for twitchy touch tablets [post]

Editing / language changes:

There are a LOT of things that require a very good knowledge of find and replace techniques.

If you change ANYTHING with a time format in it I recommend changing one at a time and testing !!!

If anyone does a non-english version could they please post it for others ?

Dutch (nl) version - Thanks to Ron (nitrx)
French (fr) version - Thanks to laulau

(My eternal thanks to Steve for helping me in some nasty debugging :? )

Well done Beteljuice

for some reason Dreamweaver's error-checker protests there is a syntax error on line 185, but I can't find it...

The page works ok, though.

Cheers.

Views ok in IE9 and Chrome, although sizing is slightly different.

If you are checking the Template - I'm surprised that's all it's screaming about !

That is first of many Cumulus processed time formats and contains lots of single / double quotes and < >.

Should test OK once processed by Cumulus ?

That's why I had so much trouble debugging it in the first place :bash:

Correct, no problems once all the quotes and tags converted.

Firefox validation plug-in picks up 789 warnings!

Firebug 1.9.1 plug-in is all clear.

Are you talking about the html validator which seems to have been a bit sick for nearly a year ?
Anyways - It works - until someone find out differently that is ...

I'm using HTML Validator 0.9.5.1 and Web Developer 1.1.9
They're ok for most pages, but some with lots of javascript seem to get too complex for the validator, so I generally just leave alone.

Edit: ...after making a mental note (which I usually forget in 5 minutes)...

Love this!

Just worries me about the upload every 15 minutes, as it's quite a large file.

Regards.

Valid comment ....

It only really needs to be processed / uploaded once every 24hrs sometime after your station 'roll-over' time.

I will let someone else describe the technique of removing it from 'standard' upload and using 'toolbox' or whatever to do the business.

Any volunteers .....

That's a good shout, i use toolbox already. So i guess save the monthlyrecordT.htm somewhere else? Then open the monthlyrecordT.htm up in the default upload folder and delete the contents?

Regards.

List style displays "F" but table style displays "C". Can I edit this somewhere?

link:http://woodlandweather.org/45betel.htm

I think I found it, I edited lines 632-636 and 648-352.....
