Hello Steve,

At my station WS2350 La Crosse, I noticed the outside temperature and the Wind chill were always identical, a few very rare exceptions. :cry:

And also, a "ghost temperature" appaert in fiew seconds to -30° Celsius!!!! to the minima... :lol:
My station is housed in cups , and ventiled with a solar fan ...

It's a solution to my problems? :roll:

Best regards.

Michel (from france)

It's Summer ! - windchill is only applied to an agreed ambient temperature or lower. Your readings are more than likely correct. ;)

This is most likely some kind of (wireless) interference to your sensors.

Hi Michel

Where did you purchase the

"My station is housed in cups , and ventiled with a solar fan"

I would like to obtain a similar unit as my sensor picks up direct sunlight for about 2 hours each evening

Pat

See this thread for how to filter out these ridiculous temps: http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1249

The important bit is this from Steve:

There's an undocumented facility that may help. Stop Cumulus and edit the cumulus.ini file. In the [Station] section add a line:

EWTempdiff=x.y

Where x.y is the maximum difference in degrees that you are prepared to accept between successive data readings.

Also, I have wrapped my housing in Al foil and put a white plastic juice container over that, open at top and bottom. It seems to largely eliminate direct solar heating of the housing, and cost nothing to do. My unit is in full sun all day and without that reads temps 10-20C higher than reality.
