Hi Steve :
I thought this error cleared up in the new Build, but it just showed its ugly head. The error is as follows:
"8/25/2011 12:00:01 AM Duplicate entry in Line 41of dayfile.txt 03/08/11"

Thought I would let you know. I get one everyday. :bash:

Are you saying that you don't actually have a duplicate entry in dayfile.txt for 3rd August? Or that you corrected the problem but it's come back again somehow? The code that does the check seems to be OK. Don't forget that Cumulus uses dd/mm/yy for the date format in that file, even on US systems, so that may have confused you when you've tried to correct the file?

No I have not tried to correct the file. I would not try that unless you tell me where to go. The error appeared in Build 1007 and when I downloaded 1008. The error did not appear for three or four days and then it appeared again several days after I installed 1008.

Tell me where to go and I will attempt to fix - why is this error occurring?

The error message is attempting to tell you where to go - line 41 of dayfile.txt. Remove the duplicate entry. I have no idea why it's there, sorry. If you still have diags files back to 3rd August (which would require that you haven't started Cumulus more than 10 times since then) I might be able to look at them and see what happened. If not, then it's too late, sorry.

The error message appears when you create NOAA reports, the code that generates the reports spots the problem and tries to be helpful by letting you know about it so you can fix it.
