Hi all i have the WH1081 Weather station, I have a 12ft pole to put my weather station on as i live on a 2nd floor flat, my question is can i get a longer cable for the wind/wind direction cable, to the sensor, as well as the rain amount collector? or rewire it? with new longer cable.
Many thanks

Re: Couple of questions
Hi,
Welcome to the forum and yes, there have been a number of threads in the "Fine Offset" section.
Basically, the connectors are "RJ11" type and ready-made cables are available for ADSL (broadband) modem extensions, etc. For the wind cable, ensure that the cable has four cores (some only have two) and don't extend it too far as it may affect the external temperature readings (yes really!).
You may find it easier/cheaper to buy male-male plug cables and a back-to-back coupler. But whatever you do, make sure that all the external connections are sealed/protected against entry of water/mositure.
Cheers, Alan.
