Hi Steve,

I'm not able to use PM so I'm posting new topic here. We are developers of Stribog (www.stribog.net) which is something like Cumulus but designed for ASUS WL500gP V2 router on Linux platform.

Now we developed central weather server http://www.HomeWeather.net which is receiving data from Stribog software. I do not want to develop Windows platform software and support all weather stations (takes quite lot of time of course) so I want to ask, if there is some possiblity to send data to http://www.HomeWeather.net ?

Server is programmed in .NET and we are using web services and SOAP (XML) to receive data.

Are you interested in some cooperation?

Thank you

Martin Kubecka (mac@stribog.net)

I'm always happy to consider adding support for yet another web site - there seems to be a new one starting up every day! - if there is sufficient interest from Cumulus users.

Do I understand correctly that users have to pay a subscription to give you their data?

Hi Steve,

currently users are paying for Stribog (linux "Cumulus" for Asus router) because it is only way how to send data right now.

But I want to add free access for Cumulus users.

Basic version will be free, Standard and Professional versions will be available probably for some small fee but this is still in development. Pro version will have some data analysis, alerts on mail and SMS, unlimited data storage etc.

What do you suggest to do? Should we prepare some interface or you will add some programing support? Thank you

Mac

Probably to start with you could send me the details of your interface? I haven't programmed with SOAP before but it doesn't look difficult. I think I need the address of your WSDL page?

I can't promise to do this any time soon, you understand? I have an awful lot of higher priority Cumulus work...

Yes I understand that there is LOT of work to do same as we have :-) It is just XML file with data - I'll ask mu programmers to prepare some documentation. Or we can prepare some structure for receiving your data if there is already some of this functionality in Cumulus. Maybe this will be more comfortable for you.

You could perhaps retrieve the realtime.txt file that many users upload to their web sites? Or the Awekas file?
