In preparing for Cumulus 2 alpha, I am thinking of adding a user account just for Cumulus 2. My thought is until it gets to a beta level I want to keep everything separate. Good idea? Bad idea?

Can you run Cumulus 2 with a user account that is not the Administrator?

You can run it with any user that has sufficient privilege - it needs to be able to run a service. But this is all going to change in the next version of Cumulus 2. I would suggest that unless you're really keen on having a look at it as it is now, it's better to wait until later in the year when hopefully I'll have a new version available, which will most likely not be compatible with the database from the current alpha. The current alpha is pretty much obsolete.

Thank you Steve. I will take that advice. I will keep reading the Cumulus 2 post so I will be up to speed on the next release latter this year.
