TeamViewer / Cumulus configuration

Post by bruckley »

I am using Cumulus 1.9.4 on Windows 8.1 with TeamViewer 10. My PWS is a Digitech XC0348.
My station ID is INEWSOUT480
In the top right hand corner of the Cumulus display there is a TeamViewer icon.
What needs to be configured in Cumulus or TeamViewer to allow the programs to interact?
Thanks in advance.

I'm not familiar at all with TeamViewer, but I can't think of any settings in Cumulus that would be of any help. I believe some people here do use TeamViewer, so hopefully someone will be able to help you get it going.

Where did that come from ?

Teamviewer allows you to remotely control a PC, so you 'see' the remote screen and interact with that as you would normally. I don't remember any program specific options.

Are you talking about the Quick Connect button that appears in the Window bar next to the Minimise button? If so that is simply to connect to a remote client quickly and is not very useful in my opinion and can be disabled by right clicking on it.

Teamviewer has some custom interfaces e.g. Outlook but none have been written for Cumulus.

That was my issue. I couldn't see what use it was.

I can already connect to the PC that is recording the PWS input. I thought that somehow I might be able to remotely connect directly to Cumulus.

All good, I will simply use TeamViewer to connect remotely to the PC and correct any error conditions from afar.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi.

I have my Cumulus PC running in the shed and connect to it via Teamviewer. I've had this setup for over a year now and it works great. In fact i use it for other PC's I run and can access them all from almost anywhere without any open ports on my router.
