I was going to ask whether this happened just after Cumulus started, because that was the only way I could see that realtime.txt could have zeroes in it but for those values not to affect the daily lows. If it didn't have any archive records to read, then the data doesn't have any initial values before the realtime.txt file is first created. Normally this isn't a problem, as the realtime.txt file is 'ephemeral' and will shortly afterwards be overwritten with the real data. I'll see if there's anything I can do, but it might be tricky to fix; this isn't a use for realtime.txt that I had considered.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for your reply & info.

I acknowledge the fact that I am using the realtime.txt file for my Grabber program for something other
than it's original use. So I would fully understand if you did not want to spend time trying to
fix this issue when you would rather be concentrating on your current work with Cumulus.

If however you do find time to look into this problem I am sure Paul (and myself) would be
greateful it you managed to find a fix for these abnormal zero values.

Regards

Mark

I think I've got a fix. I've realised that this issue affects more than just realtime.txt, so it needs fixing anyway.

Thanks Steve and Mark.
Looks like you have identified the issue. However if it might be helpful I have further looked in the realtimelog.txt file and found another instance of saved realtime.txt at 21:05:53 with the zero data. And that earlier spike was likely at the restart after I upgraded to v.1.9.4 b1093 (the new upgraded files unins000 Dat File and the Help, webfiles and web\originals folders are all at 4/27/14 9:05 PM so this realtime file of 21:05:53 might have been the first after the Cumulus restart).

The next spike (the one on my post of last night) I am pretty sure was while Cumulus was still running but I was editing Configuration Internet Files for the ExtraUTF and possibly cumulus.ini.

I have saved a block of the realtime.txt file from before 21:05:53 and after 21:53:41 and this time I think I was able to save it as a zip

Thanks again
Paul

Both of those zero entries were just after Cumulus restarts. The cumulus.009 file you uploaded shows the restart at 21:53:22 for the zeroes at 21:53:41.

I have downloaded and installed. Took all of about 90 seconds to download, shut down Cumulus, install v.1.9.4 b1094, restart Cumulus. Everything seems ok, there was no zero data in the logged realtime.txt, and CRTDG images look fine. BRAVO

Thank you Steve,
Paul

Hi Steve,

Thanks for the very quick fix! Hopefully Paul will now have no more zero entries
in the realtime.txt file which will mean that the graphs in Grabber will not display
and more zero spikes.

Thanks again

Mark

A small update, please see below.

1.
Updated HTML templates to version 2.1 to prevent text images from being stretched.

// EDIT //
Please note that I have removed the file download until I can fix the email problem

Hi Mark,

I repeat my question from Apr. 28, 2014, if it is possible to add in the next version of Cumulus RealTime Data Grabber - Tool the compass points names for Czech and Slovak language? There are around 50 potential users who are waiting for this adjustment. Thank you very much.

Hi Mark,
I have updated and the program looks good except that my alert email no longer works. I get the following error:
Email (Test button) Error: 6/22/14 9:46:17 AM
System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Server does not support secure connections.
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpConnection.GetConnection(ServicePoint servicePoint)
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpTransport.GetConnection(ServicePoint servicePoint)
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.GetConnection()
at System.Net.Mail.SmtpClient.Send(MailMessage message)
at Display_URL_data.Form1.Button20_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)
I am using the exact same settings as in v1.6.0
Do I need to do something additional re the "Added secure connection for email to prevent error when connecting to hotmail
server. (SmtpServer.EnableSsl = True)."?
I have not found where I might be able to change this to perhaps "False". I do not use Hotmail.

Thanks,
Paul

Hi Milos,

Please accept my sincere apologies as I completely missed your post!

I will definitely add the Czech compass points for you in the next release. :-)
