outdoor ip camera suggestions by members

Post by ace2 »

The more i read the more confused i get!!!

I was looking at the Foscam ones, but they do seem to have some poor reviews..

I require a wireless(no USB) IP outdoor camera to upload a still plus do a time lapse video(either by camera or software)
be able to connect using WPA-PSK
produce decent colours, don't care about night vision
will be used to monitor clouds/weather
doesn't need to be mega high res as i have limited web space to store the 3-4 time lapse videos.
i have a budget under $200 (other wise i may not live long.....you know...the wife!!)

I'm in the hunt for a new camera as well, was wanting a HD wireless outdoor camera, that could double up as a security camera as well as weather monitoring.

Any suggestions greatly received

Is it Foscam that warns against buying their cameras anywhere other than from directly from them...because of so many counterfeits around? http://foscam.us/forum/fake-foscam-fi8918w-t1476.html

yeah, if I were to buy a foscam, it would be direct from there site.

but I'm leaning towards the Zmodo 720P HD.
