Microsoft H5D-00003 Lifecam Cinema Webcam problem

Post by geoffw »

Just noticed my my Webcam has played up this morning. Switching it off them back on seems to have solved it but is is a worrry.

My 'one per minute' image capture shows what has happened.

About ten red images followed till I noticed. I turned off the camera and switched in back on again and all now seems well!

Oooh errr :( How strange. I've never seen anything like that. Sometimes you can loose one or even two of the primary colours and mostly you seem to have only red left. However, there is a tinge of green on the top of one of the trees. I have no idea what could have gone wrong or whether it's the image sensor or video processing. Let's just hope it doesn't happen again.

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Hmmm I haven't seen that either. you could check your firmware is at the latest level: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/digit ... fault.mspx. I've just applied the lastest firmware without any issues (touch wood :? )
