Hi Geoff,

I doubt Glovine would give you enough webspace for a free account. But there is a free alternative.

WUnderground.com receives weather data from thousands of weather stations like ours. If you register with them (it's free) you can upload your weather data to them and they will also give you free space for storing webcam images. But you have to do it regularly. if there's a break for 24 hours (not sure what it is exactly) they 'switch off' your location on the map until you resume uploads.

I've been uploading to WU for as long as I've had my PWS. You can join here. http://www.wunderground.com/members/signup.asp

Once you've joined you can set Cumulus to upload your data there and after that investigate webcams. There's plenty of discussion in this section about good ones.

Ray,

Do you know if it's possible to hotlink from WU, having a lot of problems lately with uploading my image to my own space, and I was wondering if I uploaded it to WU then hotlinked back so it always has the latest image?

Cheers

Rob,

It may be possible. Have a look at this webcam in Waterford, ROI.

Maybe I have misunderstood, but I have my WU (once-a-minute) image http://icons.wunderground.com/webcamramdisk/p/a/PaulMy/1/current.jpg linked on my site - WU current image http://www.komokaweather.com

Rob, for years I have made available (to my users) some Weather Underground Weather Stickers and one of these stickers displays the uploaded image of my webcam including the weather information (also uploaded to Weather Underground) - much nicer than just a plain image... ;)
