Based on reviews I purchased a Logitech HD Webcam C510 (waiting on it to arrive) , Where I run cumulus from its not suitable to setup the webcam, Where my server is has a reasonable position to put the webcam except of course my server is running Linux. Does anybody have their webcam setup on their server at all and if so what are you using as I cannot see alot of options out there.

I use Linux for preference but have not as yet found anything that will do what YawCam (and some others, I gather) will do in Windows. Not that I'm entirely satisfied with YawCam as I said in another thread. I intend to have another look into this later when I have more time (if that ever happens ).

Sorry, no banner - weather station out of action. Hoping to be up and running with a new home-made one soon.

Thanks Gina, I have actually installed motion and so far its excellent, Can be set to take a snap every x mins or hours as well as use motion detection, there are also a huge array of options you can also use with it.
Here is my example of it working. http://mspec.no-ip.org/webcam.php

I currently have it set to take a snap every hour, You can also stream with it but I have not had a chance to set that up yet. I also spent some time getting some info onto the image, This was done with drawing data out of the sql base for use on it. :D
