Cumulus 1.9.2 beta available

Cumulus 1.9.2 build 990 is available.

- Web service (e.g. WU) 'catch up' is now optional
- New 'catch up' indicator to show when 'catch up' is taking place
- Display update during logger download can be turned off (speeds up download processing)
- Fix incorrect 'rain since midnight' value if Cumulus restarted on first of month
- Change sunshine hours total to be midnight to midnight on all systems
- Correct CWOP upload to send 'rain since midnight' rather than 'rain since rollover' (for 0900 rollover users)
- Added support for Weatherbug Backyard
- Added support for UK Met Office Weather Observations Website (WOW)

Note that the WOW site is still in beta and there are a few things still to sort out. Notably, they have for some reason decided to require station pressure rather than sea level pressure. They then calculate SLP using the altitude that you have supplied. Cumulus supplies SLP for this, so the calculation comes out wrong. I have heard that they are going to change to accept SLP, so I'm leaving the code as it is for now. A possible circumvention might be to set your altitude to zero (on the WOW site).

Build 993 is available.

- Initial support for Oregon Scientific WMR88/WMR100/WMR200 etc

Notes:

1. For WMR88 use the WMR100 setting
2. I don't have a WMR100, so that code is completely untested. It might not download data at all, or displayed values might be wrong.
3. There's no support for 'extra' sensors. I may add that at some future date.
4. Downloading large amounts of data from the WMR200 logger will take a long time, possibly several hours.
5. There's a delay of up to a minute or so after the logger download has finished (even if nothing has been downloaded). This is to make sure the station has finished sending the logger data, there's no other way to be sure.
6. I understand that these stations can sometimes just stop sending data; if you start hitting this problem I'll have to see if I can put some hacks in to work around it. But I have low confidence that these stations will ever work 100% reliably with Cumulus.

- Fix WMR200 Dewpoint when obtained from logger
- Option to restart Cumulus if data stops. This may fix whatever the problem is; it may not. But it should at least stop the same data being repeatedly logged.
- Fix title of small wind direction chart when read from strings.ini
- Cater for UV values of 255 from WH3080
- Fix crash at startup when processing WMR200 logger data
- New web tag <#timeUTC>
- Added code to estimate wet bulb temperature. Currently only available via web tag <#wetbulb>
- Ignore old repeated WMR200 logger entries
- Display WMR100/200 extra sensor data, in rotation with UV, if available. Note that I am unable to test this.

Note that while this facility is intended for fruit growers, it could also be used, with suitable configuration, for tracking the number of hours spent below any temperature, e.g. freezing.

- New strings.ini settings for WMR100/200 extra sensors - see samplestrings.ini

Please note that there is a bug in build 1000 concerning the writing of the dayfile.txt file. It now writes the sunshine hour total twice! If you have been affected, you can edit the file - carefully - to remove the duplicate. See the help or the wiki for the format of the file.

I'm very sorry about this, I'll have build 1001 available shortly.

- Option to ignore La Crosse station clock on logger download (in station settings)
- Correct dew point calculation when temperature calibration is in use with degrees Fahrenheit
- New this month/year/all time daily wind run records (and web tags). Note that you can use the editors to retrospectively set up these records from dayfile.txt. There may be a few wrinkles to iron out with this facility!
- Fix bug introduced in build 1000 where sunshine hours were logged twice to dayfile.txt

- Fix WMR100/200 Altimeter Pressure (for CWOP) when inHg units are used.
- Round start time on Select-A-Graph down to nearest minute
- Add new 'this month' and 'this year' web pages (including adding them in to the navigation section in the existing pages); the installer will (as usual) offer you the option of not overwriting your existing 'standard' pages (and they will in any case get installed to a folder called web\originals so you can examine them if you wish).

Build 1003 is available.

- Fix initialisation of 'last hour' rain for WMR100/200
- Fix spurious values in solar web tags on WMR100/200 with extra sensors
- Option to turn off reporting of 'data stopped' errors (may be needed with La Crosse stations). Add to [Station] section of cumulus.ini:

ReportDataStoppedErrors = 0

- Add 'current' wind direction to monthly logs (previously only average was logged). One effect of this is that the wind direction graph looks a little less 'different' after a restart.
