Hi Steve,

Around 12 noon today my website stopped being updated every 10 minutes. I noticed this from work mid-afternoon.

When I returned home around 16:45 I reset my router and shortly afterwards my web pages started being updated again.

But if my website wasn't being updated I expected the same situation with my WU data. A few minutes after my website was updated I looked at my WU data and all this afternoon's data was there.

I vaguely remember you mentioning you intended to add a feature to Cumulus to allow for this updating but looking through the diagnostic file I can't see any mention of it. Does such a feature exist? if it does then it's done a brilliant job.

The only thing I've done as far as WU is concerned is to make it 'backfill' at start up with the data it downloads from the logger. If all you had to do was reset your router without doing anything to Cumulus, then it sounds like ftp to your web site wasn't getting through, but http to WU was.

The ftp issue did cross my mind but I couldn't access the internet on the Cumulus netbook which made me suspicious that BT had been working in my area and my connection had been interrupted. This is not the first time it's happened.

But what is strange is that all the wind gust data was present on WU which can only exist with a live feed. It can't be supplied later.

It's all very mysterious and as everything is now okay I wouldn't ordinarily be worried. But I'm going abroad for a couple of weeks in the next month or two and will be asking a computer-savvy neighbour to keep an eye on my webpage so if anything like this happens whilst I'm away I can give him a set of instructions on what to do.

I might write to David (Daj) and ask if there were any problems with his web servers today.
