I had a bit of a search and found no hints as to why they dont show on the web page, but I see Steve has them on his, solar and sunshine anyway. I installed build 1037 this morning in case it wasn't included in 1036, but that didn't help. I tried adding the various .png files in ftp upload, but that didn't help either, so I guess I need to edit trends.htm to include them, and hope I don't stuff it up in the process?

If you can 'see' them in Steve's ... copy the page and add the extra bit's to your page ;)

... but of course the beteljuice cannot condone such blatant plagarism

Just two questions:

Gordon, have you activated the automatic uploading (by Cumulus) of the new graphic files to your web site (the 'Solar', 'UV' and 'Sunshine' boxes)?

Have you edited/modified the 'trendsT.htm' to include the three new graphic files - the source view of the 'trends' page indicates the code for the new graphic images is still missing?

Point-of-view: May I make a suggestion as to the presentation of your 'trends' page, such as modifying the width of the page so that the header (latitude, longitude, elevation), the text and the large graphic image are centered within the width of the page or reducing the number of thumbnail images to four per line.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

This part of the announcement wasn't a big enough 'hint'?

It's not difficult, but a positive attitude always helps. Just look at the existing code (or as beteljuice says, my amended page - I also moved my main graph into the table to centre it) and add extra lines to the thumbnails table for the graphs you want to add, e.g:

Code:
<td class="td_thumbnails"><a onclick='changeImage("images/solar.png")'><img src="images/solarsm.png" alt="Solar Graph Thumbnail" width="150" height="100" border="0" /></a></td>

The parameter to changeImage is the 'large' file, the 'img src' file is the thumbnail.

Steve, an aside, but you could also now incorporate the solar graph into your SteelSeries gauges page. (and your new 'trends' page points to the original gauges page)

Mark, I do not know if I read you properly...

Are you suggesting the incorporation of the SteelSeries gauge page into the 'standard' Cumulus release package?

I do not think that would be a good idea - Steve already spends way too much time trying to answer questions about basic and simple templates.

I see the SteelSeries gauge template as an upgrade to the 'standard' Cumulus processed 'gaugesT.htm' template - certainly not as a replacement - still ... way too many people cannot be bothered to read the basic installation documentation for Cumulus ... why should/would they be bothered to read the documentation included with the SteelSeries gauge template...

No! But Steve's personal weather web page uses the SS gauges (at least the link from the default page does).

Ah, yes, thanks. I'm not sure I like the option of having the graph pop-up, though; but I should at least make them all consistent.

I think most of my pages still point to the originals; more tidying up to do when I get a minute.

Thanks Steve and others.

I remembered reading something about it recently, but forgot where, so did a search (clearly not the right search though!), which didn't turn that up...
