Steve

I upgraded to beta 1041 this morning. We had a small amount of rain at 07:11 this morning but it now isn't showing on the rain graph. It's in the today file, and in the summary screens, but the graph page doesn't show it. It was on the graph before I updated to 1041.

I can't see where the problem is on your web site; could you point it out, please? The 'today's rain' graph looks OK to me?

On my screen the rainfall thumbnail shows no rain peaks and the large image (below) shows rain for yesterday but nothing today.

Ah, the rainfall rate. It's probably something to do with restarting Cumulus and what actually got logged, rather than the upgrade.

Please zip up the diags folder and attach it, along with your July log file.

Sorry for the confusion, yes the rainfall rate graph. We've had some more rain this morning and that has been recorded correctly.

I tried to attach the diags before, but it wouldn't upload, seems to have worked this time.

In the absence of a rainfall rate value supplied by the station, Cumulus calculates a value based on the amount of rain in the previous five minutes. At the times of your log entries (at ten minute intervals), there had been no rain tips in the previous five minutes, hence the calculated rate was zero, so that's what was logged. When you restarted Cumulus the rainfall rate graph was redrawn from the values in the log file.

I see. so that's a limitation of the Fine Offset. Thanks for clearing that up, not something I'd noticed before.

Thanks again for your speedy support.
