OK, is the file C:\Cumulus\realtimeguagesT.txttmp getting created, and are its contents up to date?

I'd normally you'd put the realtimeguagesT.txt file in the Cumulus\web folder, but I guess its OK in the Cumulus folder.

in your server, you see the realtimegauges.txt file? if exists there , you may change the permisions of this file

The file C:\Cumulus\realtimeguagesT.txttmp does not appear on the server. The file realtimeguagesT.txt is correctly within the Cumulus\web folder.
The permissions for realtimeguages.txt are shown as Read boxes checked for User, Group and World: Write box only checked for User.

But, your files screenshot shows the local filename as "C:\Cumulus\realtimegaugesT.txt" ?

I'm sorry that I'm such an idiot about this but I thought the local file was C:\Cumulus\realtimegaugesT.txt but obviously I'm wrong. I've attached a screenshot of the Cumulus Web folder.

Right, so if you change your Internet Settings|Files to "C:\Cumulus\web\realtimegaugesT.txt" does it work?

i dont see in your web folder the realtimegaugesTtmp.txt. try to delete and reinstall the realtimegauges.txt in web folder.

The tmp file will not be there if Cumulus is looking in wrong folder for the file.

In a lucid moment (!) I'd thought of trying C:\Cumulus\web\realtimegaugesT.txt and I tried this yesterday but it had no effect on updating the gauges to I reverted to omitting the \web bit. I have again tried this morning but with no success.
I couldn't find realtimegauges.txt in the Cumulus web folder: whether this is right I don't know but I created realtimeguages.txt by copying realtimegaugesT.txt and renaming the copy realtimegauges.txt - this had no effect.

You have Windows configured to hide extensions for known file types (which is the very confusing and unhelpful default), so you have actually named your template file C:\Cumulus\web\realtimegaugesT.txt.txt

I have absolutely no idea about configuring Windows to hide file extensions - how this happened I have no clue!!
I have adjusted the local filename internet settings to ....realtimegaugesT.txt.txt and hey presto the gauges are updating normally.
