Just to keep us up to date over here. This is copied from another forum from Ken:

I'm about half-way through a replacement script using the API JSON data .. just have to figure out how much (or little) can be changed in the URLs folks had used for the customization to make the equivalent API calls and make sure the language functions work correctly. I plan on setting the default cache life-time to 3 hours, which should be fast-enough for the general forecast changes by WU without tweaking an individual API user over the 500/day, 50/hr limits for the 'Developer' free API option.

I know WU is upgrading for the better - more modern, more javascript /HTML5 code. Result faster loading pages and easier maintenance but I must admit to getting fed up with this forecast collapsing down around my ears so frequently.

So while waiting on poor Ken, who also must be tearing out his hair, I am playing around with these if anyone is interested:

Well, the forecasts are and I get a 403 on my graphs page (Server configuration does not allow access to this page), which is a bit ambiguous because you can't tell if it is my saratoga shell or the wu graphs that are the problem. Rapid fire still works and my webcam is accessible though.

Wunderground was offline for a few hours ago i think they are starting up the services and it doesnt work everywhere i use a tablet now so i only can see that i ve no forecast on my pages i m not by my weatersoftware now i think you have to be patient.

wunderground API is having a problem, and they are working to fix it.. no change needed on your sites.
