CUtags.txt with wrong time

Post by perl »

I made a new install in a Raspberry Pi3 to day. I have searched to find out why I get a wrong time in CUtags.txt (used for Saratoga webpages).
If I ask the Pi for "date -u" I am told that UTC is 20:50 = 22:50 local time and that is OK
But the UTC time in file is set to UTC 06:20 by CumulusMX - and I don't understand why

Are there somebody who knows what's the reason to this could be?

Do you have an URL for your website that is showing the issue? Pictures of screen-captures do not reveal enough to diagnose. :(

http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr/
The time for last update and next update does not change

I have perfect running version on http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr2/ which get informations from my windows pc (with a Viking weatherstation)
I have tried to compare with no luck. Then I thought it must have something to do with the Raspberry.

The http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr/wxstatus.php page shows
Cumulus realtime Aktuelt 0:00:00 28/04/2016 19:24
Cumulus FTP Aktuelt 0:04:23 28/04/2016 19:20
Cumulus weather data NOT Current 35:04:25 > 0:05:15 27/04/2016 08:20
Cumulus NOAA report Aktuelt 10:28:14 28/04/2016 08:56
so the CUtags.php for that site is being FTP updated, but is not changing content. I suspect that the CUtags.txt template source on the Cumulus system has been replaced with a processed version so the tags are missing (just the substituted values remain).
Try replacing the template for CUtags.php with a fresh copy from the CU-plugin.zip and see if that fixes the issue.

Hi,

Thanks for the input. Installing a new CUtags.php from a zip installation file did not help. I quicly got the same problem with th time

Then I decided to stop both weatherstations and made a new map called http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr3
I then ftp al from the well running http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr2 to my computer and back to http://brugergruppen.dk/vejr3
Started CumulusMX and changed the adresses and got the same error again.

To morrow I will start reading installation instructions again and hope I find the solution.

It is the CUtags.txt or CUtags-comments.txt template files from the WXtags-template-files directory in the CU-Plugin.zip that need to be replaced. The CUtags.php in the CU-Plugin.zip is only a sample data file processed with data from my system in 2013 and is used to have the website display sample data until you get Cumulus uploading data from your station.

So.. copy WXtags-template-files/CUtags.txt and use it as the template in Cumulus to upload CUtags.php to your site.

See: http://saratoga-weather.org/wxtemplates ... umulus.php (yes, I know, it's for the non-MX version, but the method of using a template is similar with MX).

Hi Ken,
This morgen - before I saw You answer - I stopped the CumulusMX, deleted CUtags.txt and CUtags.txttmp, and uploadet CUtags.txt from the zip installationfiles. Started again and it was running perfect. Thanks again for Your help. I have made a small donate to Your website.
