wt_data_inc.phptmp has data (o Bytes)

Post by yarite »

My Cumulus Version 1.9.4 updates wt_data_inc.phptmp with no data (o Bytes).

Do I have something set wrong on Cumulus?

Thanks,
-Ron

Is that file zero bytes on your PC, or on your web site?

The wt_data_inc.phptmp file in my Cumulus folder on my C: drive. Then it is sent to the website.

Cumulus is showing all the data from my Davis Vantage Vue on my my PC screen. It just won't put the data to the wt_data_inc.phptmp. It up loads the wt_data_inc.php with (0Bytes) to the website fine, just no data.

Thanks,
-Ron

The usual reason for Cumulus producing a zero-byte file is that there is something in the input template which the parser doesn't like. This could be a very long line, for example, if your file doesn't have normal Windows CRLF line endings. Cumulus will normally put an error message into the diags file. If you can't find the problem, zip up the input file and attach it to a reply here, and I'll take a look.

Have you ticked "Process" in the line that you filled out to upload the file as this is what makes Cumulus fill out the webtags with values before upload?

I have attached a picture of my station settings and my internet settings.

What is the name for the (input template) file so I can up load for you to look at?

I did tick the "Process" in the line, please see attached file.

Thank you,
-Ron

According to your screen shot, it is C:\Cumulus\wt_data_inc.php

I attached wt_data_inc.phptmp file, but is has no data.

At one point during my Cumulus set up it made one file with data in it, I attached wt_data_inc.php also.

Thanks,

The wt_data_inc.php file that you have attached is not a template, it is a file which has already been processed, i.e. it has real data in it rather than web tags. You have to supply Cumulus with a file with web tags in it as the 'local filename' so that it can produce a file with real data in it.

I think you need to go back to the instructions for the file you are trying to use.

I have tried to follow the instructions carefully. I must be missing something?

This is the link for setting it up, if you have the time to look at it.

Thank you for your help, I just don't know what I'm missing.

The download presumably comes with a file called wt_data_inc.php which you need to get Cumulus to process. You have told Cumulus that the file is in the C:\Cumulus folder, but evidently it is not. Either a file of that name is not in that location, or the file that is there is not the original file. You need to put the wt_data_inc.php file from the download in the place where you have told Cumulus to expect it.

If that doesn't help, or doesn't make sense, then you will need to get help from Jacques or someone who is familiar with the template.
