I recently purchased the station wh 3080 with solar sensors but I can not get to calculate the value of ET daily .. because if you can solve the problem?

not meant to have davis or not ... the shortage is in softweresteve wrote:Whether it's possible or not is irrelevant. Your station does not supply it, only Davis stations do. Cumulus does not calculate it, it reads it from the station. Perhaps one day I will look at writing the code to calculate it. That day will not be soon - sorry.
So if you have all these data points coming from your station, Wikipedia and other sources have formulae if you want to calculate it yourself. The Vantage Pro2 uses air temperature, relative humidity, average wind speed, and
solar radiation data to estimate ET, which is calculated once an hour on the hour. ET
requires the optional solar radiation sensor.

There are very complex to very simplistic formulae to choose from with expected useful to not-so-useful results!
PHP provides for some quite complex math - again check out options from the internet.

Self help is a wondrous thing.
