Win XP .NET V4.5

Hi,
Just do my first step with CMX and perhaps i missed something !
CumulusMX tells me that i need .NET V4.5 but on Win XP i'm only able to install V4.03 !

Yep, 4.5 is not supported on XP, XP has now gone end of life and is no longer supported by Microsoft. Vista is now the oldest supported OS.

Yes Steve confirmed to Mark Crossley that .NET v4.5 was a requirement.

The minimum supported operating systems are Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

My weather station is running on XP.... now, I can't use it. .net won't work on it.

Well, you can't use Cumulus MX, but you can continue to use Cumulus which is still the fully supported production software.

Developers cannot be expected to support obsolete operating systems forever, at some point you will probably have to upgrade. You can get OEM copies of Windows 7 really cheaply with hardware (sometimes without ) if you look around.

Well, there's Mono, but the current binary download for Windows is not the latest code, and getting it to work on XP might prove tricky anyway. I don't suppose the Mono people are too interested in XP.
