Unit problem on charts pages: fixed in 3007

Topics about the Beta trials up to Build 3043, the last build by Cumulus's founder Steve Loft. It was by this time way out of Beta but Steve wanted to keep it that way until he made a decision on his and Cumulus's future.

Unit problem on charts pages: fixed in 3007

Post by henkg »

Thanks, station settings are are used now for the scale.
After updating to 3007 (or later) the charts display incorrect values for the hours before the update.
Just for the first day, I think. No history involved?
See (only today) my webpage, trends, windspeed.

Is it just wind that is affected? Those figures are too high? They should be taken from the log file - what does that show?

My mistake:
The only affected chart was windspeed, other unit displays did not change (well, mb to hPa)
Now I see that the log shows the same values as the windspeed chart.
There has been an enormous decrease of windspeed within one hour, exactly at the time of updating. From 12 to 5.5 m/s.

At first I was looking only at the graph, and with the knowledge that 1 mps =~ 2.2 mph I draw a false conclusion.
Sorry Steve.

FYI, Charts scale is correct, ie. my units are in inHG and displaying 29 to 31 as it should, but the unit marker on the left of the page reads mb. Same thing for Temperature (C) but the scale and numbers are showing in F. Just a cosmetic change.

Sorry for hijacking this topic but I think it's a bit better than to clutter the forum with a similar question/bug report. All the values in my charts seem to be integer values, for example if I have 12,5ºC, it will plot as 13 in the charts, and if I have 12,2ºC it'll plot as 12 and so on. This happens with all the variables.
I imported my data from Cumulus 1.

As it's a completely different issue, a completely different thread would be appropriate, and much easier for me to deal with. But anyway... there are known issues with comma decimals in the user interface. It's listed with the known issues. If you are using comma decimals you will get all kinds of problems with the user interface.
