Steve,

After doing my tests with the urlacl reservations I had an error with it accessing a regisry key (I left it running with a non-elevated userid).

If you look at the attached file it fails trying to get system uptime to fill in the tags in a file is was processing and dumps the whole file to the error log.

Is this an error or should I just run it with a user that has more privileges?

That web tag uses the Performance Counters, access to which is apparently restricted. It was the only method I could find which (reliably) gives the system uptime.

You could either run it elevated, not use the web tag, or add your user to the 'Performance Monitor Users' group.

Whoo, there's a group I haven't come across before (I should have)!
Thanks Steve

o.s. What on earth is so secret about the system uptime I have no idea! Why ever M$ should restrict that I don't know.
